The S & S Series is a dark, emotionally driven story world centered primarily around Ethan Gorski and the people whose lives become permanently intertwined with his, especially Nathan Knight and Blaine Kruse. At its heart, the series explores love, trauma, survival, and the ways people change when they are pushed past the point of who they used to be.
These stories are not about perfect people or easy relationships. They are about damaged people trying to survive what life has done to them, and what they sometimes do to each other. Ethan’s story is the thread that ties the series together, but it is not a simple story about one life. It is about the people who shape him, the people who hurt him, the people who love him, and the person he becomes because of them.
Nathan Knight represents one side of Ethan’s world, a relationship built on intensity, control, damage, and the kind of love that burns more than it heals. Blaine Kruse represents another side, one built on patience, safety, growth, and the terrifying vulnerability that comes with being truly seen and loved for who you are after you’ve been broken.
Across the series, these characters and others move through different stages of life, different relationships, different losses, and different versions of themselves. Some stories focus on love, some focus on loss, some focus on survival, and some focus on what happens after everything falls apart. Characters appear across multiple stories, sometimes as the person they used to be, and sometimes as someone completely changed by what they’ve survived.
The S & S Series does not shy away from difficult topics. It deals heavily with emotional damage, toxic relationships, power imbalance, grief, manipulation, healing, and the long-term consequences of violence and trauma. Nothing in this series is meant to be clean or easy. The characters make mistakes. They hurt each other. They love each other. Sometimes they do all three at the same time.
At its core, the S & S Series asks one question:
What happens to people after the worst thing that could happen to them… happens?
Some people break.
Some people heal.
Some people become something else entirely.
Each story in the series explores a different answer to that question, but all of them, in one way or another, come back to Ethan Gorski, and the lives that were changed because his story existed at all.
The S & S Series is made up of interconnected stories that can be read on their own, but reading in order will give the best understanding of the characters, relationships, and long-term emotional arcs.
